Upgrade Your First-Gen Tundra Lighting

Upgrade the rear lighting on your 2014-2018 Chevy Silverado while maintaining a clean, OEM+ appearance. The KDW Chase Light Housing replaces the factory third brake light assembly and integrates high-output chase lighting, brake lights, and optional accessories into one purpose-built housing.

Designed for everything from desert and off-road use to campsite and bed lighting, the housing accommodates three 3-inch LED pods along with four dedicated red brake lights for increased rear visibility.

Housing Options

Choose between:

Loaded Housing — Arrives complete with the housing, four brake lights, three LED pods, and foam weather seal.

Empty Housing — Includes the housing, four brake lights, and foam weather seal. LED pods are not included.

Pod Brand

Every housing is manufactured specifically for the pod style selected. You must select a Pod Brand even when ordering an Empty Housing, as the mounting pattern and cutout differ between pod styles.

KDW 3.2 — Designed around KDW's 3-inch, dual-LED 3.2 pods. These are KDW's purpose-built option for the chase light system.

Generic — Designed for the compatible 3-inch generic/Amazon-style pods. This version uses a different cutout and mounting pattern from the KDW/Baja configuration.

Baja Designs S2 — Designed for genuine Baja Designs S2-series lights. KDW 3.2 and Baja Designs S2 pods share the same housing cutout, but select the appropriate brand when ordering a Loaded Housing so the correct lights are supplied.

Add-ons

Customize your housing with any combination of:

Antenna Mount — Adds an integrated NMO antenna mounting location, eliminating the need to drill into your cab or use a magnetic mount. Includes the appropriate NMO-to-UHF-F mount/stud when ordered with the required hardware.

Camera Mount — Integrates a rear-view camera directly into the chase light housing for a clean installation without drilling additional holes or relying on adhesive-mounted cameras.

Pre-wired — Have your loaded housing arrive with the lighting circuits pre-wired and organized, reducing the amount of wiring required during installation. Find more information under the Pre-wired product or support page!

Construction

Every housing is manufactured from carbon-fiber-reinforced ASA, selected for its strength, temperature resistance, UV resistance, and dimensional stability in automotive applications.

A foam weather seal is included with every housing to seal the assembly against the cab and help prevent water intrusion.

Empty Housing — Required Components

Empty housings require compatible LED pods based on the Pod Brand selected. Camera and antenna hardware are included when the add-ons are selected.

Longer screws are required because of the added thickness of the housing, they are included in all loaded and empty housings. (M3 × 0.5 × 14 mm)
